For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed home repair and building things and have wanted to own my own business. I am the youngest of eight kids; with four older brothers who all started their own successful businesses, it only made sense that I would follow in their footsteps. My plan, however, took a much different course than I had originally envisioned.
After graduating from college with an Accounting Degree, I worked as a CPA for several years. I then moved into Finance in a few large corporations and finally held Customer Success roles in the Software Industry. While I had what most people would see as success in a variety of positions, I always dreamed of working with my hands everyday.
There is something about working with your hands on a project that fulfills a need to be productive. After years of fixing everything from my own cars, to building decks and remodeling bathrooms, to building retaining walls and repairing garage doors, it finally occurred to me that this is what I want to do everyday. More importantly, I take extreme pride in helping people fix problems in their homes. Houses are complex structures with numerous moving parts. Most people do not have the time, expertise or desire to fix things themselves.
